Neurodifferences Affirming Internal Family Systems (IFS) Exploration Workshop
In this introductory workshop we will discuss and explore the main concepts of IFS as they apply to our own neurodivergent systems. Lectures, mini-demonstrations, experiential exercises and small group discussions will be used to facilitate participants’ learning.
In this workshop we will be centering neurodifferences that people are born with such as autism, ADHD, sensory and learning differences. We acknowledge that there is no consensus to date as to what qualifies as neurodifference; however, two main groups are labeled as acquired and in-born differences.

Towards this goal, we will facilitate movement breaks and support any forms of stimming that do not interfere with the group learning. Learning Objectives
- Articulate major assumptions and concepts of the IFS model, including as they relate to ND-system.
- Discuss the flow of the Model.
- Explore one’s own internal system using guided meditation, journaling and mapping.
- Start identifying differences between parts and physiology of brain and nervous system.
- Identify differences between Neurotypical Internal System and Neurodivergent Internal System.
- Identify and experience qualities of Self-energy, including Self-energy in Neurodivergent System.

IFS Credits are available to those who've completed IFS Level 1 Training and working towards IFS Certification/Re-certification. Participants will follow the process described above to complete workshop evaluations and download the certificate. The same certificate will be used for Professional CEs as well as IFS Credits.
