IFS Trainers, Fatimah Finney and Kathy Cox, will be hosting an introductory Internal Family Systems (IFS) workshop that will offer participants the opportunity to become professionally and personally acquainted with the IFS model of psychotherapy and how it can be impactful in the Muslim community. Learning Objectives
- Articulate the history and basic assumptions of the Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy model.
- Explore one's own internal system using mapping, drawing, journaling, and meditation.
- Identify and track the flow of the model and its key components within a live demonstration.
- Identify and explain the interaction between the four components of the internal system: Self, Managers, Firefighters, and Exiles.
- Practice the skill of unblending to begin to differentiate Self from parts through role play and peer support.
- Identify "therapist parts" that block connection to Self and the client's experience.

IFS Credits are available to those who've completed IFS Level 1 Training and working towards IFS Certification/Re-certification. Participants will follow the process described above to complete workshop evaluations and download the certificate. The same certificate will be used for Professional CEs as well as IFS Credits.
