Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need prior IFS experience?
Prior IFS knowledge is recommended, but previous IFS training is not required. This program is designed for coaches who are new to IFS or have introductory familiarity with the model.
I’m not a coach. Is this program still right for me?
Possibly. The Self-Led Coach is taught through a coaching lens and is best suited for people who work in a coaching or related non-clinical capacity and want an experiential introduction to IFS focused on self-awareness, presence, and personal insight. If you are primarily looking for an introductory experience with IFS for a clinical or therapeutic context, the IFS Online Circle may be a better fit.
Can I use IFS with coaching clients after completing this program?
This program focuses on learning and personal insight and does not prepare participants to use IFS with clients. Coaches interested in developing a deeper professional understanding of IFS may consider continuing their learning through IFS Foundations for Coaches, a more comprehensive program designed specifically for coaches.
Does completing this program qualify me for IFS Foundations for Coaches?
No. Completion of this program does not guarantee admission to IFS Foundations for Coaches or replace that program’s application and eligibility requirements. However, it offers a strong foundation in core IFS concepts that can enhance your learning experience if you later decide to pursue IFS Foundations for Coaches. Participants who complete The Self-Led Coach will also receive priority access to registration for an upcoming IFS Foundations for Coaches cohort, subject to program eligibility and availability.
Is this an IFS certification program?
No. This is an introductory program focused on learning, personal insight, and professional development. It does not provide IFS certification or another professional designation.
What if I need to miss part of a session or miss a session?
