Intended Audience & Participant Readiness
This program is designed for IFS-informed or IFS-trained therapists and non-therapists seeking a deeper experiential exploration of their relationships with food and their bodies.
To fully participate in this immersive IFS program, participants are expected to:
- Have an established understanding of the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model.
- Have experience identifying and working with their own internal system.
- Be able to unblend and speak for, rather than from, their parts.
- Be comfortable participating in experiential exercises, personal reflection, and small-group learning.
Participants may have developed this readiness through experiences such as:
- Completion of an IFS Level 1 Training
- Participation in an IFS Online Circle or another in-depth IFS experiential program
- Ongoing personal or clinical work with the IFS model
Recommended Reading
Participants are highly encouraged to read Unburdened Eating by Jeanne Catanzaro, PhD prior to the first session. The book offers foundational language, concepts, and reflective material that support the work we’ll explore together in the intensive. Chapter 3 may be particularly helpful in preparing for the program.
Additionally, if you’d like to learn more about the principles that guide this program, including its IFS-informed perspective on intentional weight loss, you can read this article.
Cancellation Policy
Registrations canceled on or before October 14, 2026 are eligible for a refund minus a $50 administrative fee. No refunds are available after this date.
Cancellation requests must be submitted directly to IFS Institute by 11:59 p.m. CT on October 14, 2026.
Registration Close
To support a safe, connected, and well-prepared group experience, registration for this intensive will close on October 15, 2026, prior to the first session. This allows participants time to receive preparation materials and helps the group settle before we begin.
Live Participation
Due to the experiential and relational nature of this intensive, sessions will not be recorded and live attendance is required.
Participants are strongly encouraged to attend all sessions with their cameras on, as this supports safety, connection, and trust within the learning community. We also encourage participants to listen to their own needs and turn their cameras off during meditations, experiential exercises, or other moments when doing so supports their participation.
Live attendance requirements must be met to receive Professional CE and/or IFS Credits for this program.
